Via a tweet posted on November 3, Chuwi has announced it is working on a new tablet Chuwi Hi13 powered by Intel architecture processor with Apollo Lake and features a display with a resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels.
Following an official statement, the company has unveiled more information about the new high-end tablet. With the name of Chuwi Hi13, the tablet comes with a 13.5 inches display and is currently on display at CES 2017 in Las Vegas.
Chuwi Hi13: Display specifications in comparison with that of the Surface Book!
The main technical requirements proposed by the new Chuwi Hi13 include a display with aspect ratio 3:2, a processor Intel Celeron N3450 Lake Apollo assisted by the GPU Intel 500 Graphics and 4 GB of DDR3L RAM and 64 GB of internal storage type eMMC.
On the convertible 2-in-1 also Wi-Fi dual-band 2.4/5 GHz, input Type-C USB and the Windows 10 Home operating system. The company also wanted to point out that it will be possible to combine a detachable keyboard and a stylus.
Given the presence of a display with resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels, Chuwi wanted to make a comparison with the screen proposed by the Surface Book of Microsoft.
In particular, we find almost the same configuration with a display of 13.5 inches diagonally with a resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels, 267 PPI, a 3:2, a contrast ratio of 1700: 1, brightness of 400 nits, a multitouch panel 10 points and a color gamut of 100% sRGB.
Celeron N3450 Lake Apollo vs. Atom X5-Z8300 Cherry Trail
The comparisons do not end there; in fact, the Chinese company has compared the processor Celeron N3450 Apollo Lake of Chuwi Hi13 with so famous Atom X5-Z8300 Cherry Trail. Compared to the latter platform, the performance offered by the new architecture Apollo Lake improved by 50% whiles the GPU performance increased by 70%.
Specifically, the chip Intel Celeron N3450 was launched in Q3 of 2016 and was built using a production process 14 nm and a micro architecture Goldmont .
The processor also offers a CPU quad-core, four threads, a clock frequency of 2.2GHz, an Intel HD Graphics GPU 500 to 700 MHz and a maximum number of units equal to running 12.
The price of each N3450 amounted to $ 107 compared to $ 21 of X5-Z8300.
