Among the flood of products presented at CES 2017 one of the areas “less characteristic” of this edition is that of action camera. However, this does not mean they are not news worthy of note: these include the new Yi 4K+, the first action camera in the world with 4K 60fps video recording!

Yi 4K+ official: the first action cam 4K 60 fps in the world!
As anticipated, the Yi 4K+, produced from Asian Yi Technologies announced by Xiaomi, offers as the main features is the ability to record 4K 60fps video, as opposed to 30fps offered in that resolution from the previous model. Beyond that, you can make video in 4K 25/30 / 50fps, 1080p up to 120fps and 720p up to 240fps. Too bad for the lack of format H.265.
This is powered by the new chipset Ambarella H2 produced with the production process to 14nm, including processor quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 architecture whose performance should be the most powerful 100% of the previous Ambarella AP9Se, with a bitrate of 120 Mbps.
We then find the same sensor, the Sony IMX377 Exmor R from 12 mega-pixels with aperture f / 2.8 and of dimensions 1 / 2.3 “, to which the lenses are combined with 155° wide angle FOV. The image quality is further enhanced by the implementation of the stabilization EIS, also active in the mode 4K 60fps. Another upgrade we find it in the photos, which can be saved in format RAW.
A dimensional level: we do not see differences in dimensions of 65 x 30 x 21 x 42 mm and a weight of 96 gm, thus being backwards-compatible with previous equipment, while aesthetically the company has decided to apply a new texture that makes the more particular device. Remains unchanged even the touchscreen display 16: 9 19.2 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, density of 330 PPI, 250 cd / m², 30fps and 160 °.
An important innovation we see it in the connectivity department, including a port USB Type-C with a speed of well data transfer 40 Mbps, as opposed to 20 Mbps of Yi 4K and 15 Mbps of GoPro Hero 5.
Finally, even the software side there are some improvements, including the voice commands to take pictures, record video and turn off the camcorder, and the function Live Streaming to make direct via the major video platforms. Pu remaining unchanged from Battery 1400 mAh, it should enjoy a greater autonomy since the SoC less energy consuming.
